“DI TANTSE MISHPOKHE” - Di tantse mishpokhe is a play on words between dance (tants in Yiddish) and the ironic - at times threatening - Yiddish expression of gantse mishpokhe, that is: “the whole family”; in other words, a show that - starting from the story of families in the Bible and rabbinical literature - questions the meaning of yesterday and today of the oldest institution in the world.

In an original and entertaining concert of Jewish music from many diasporas, dedicated to songs about love, marriage, motherhood, fatherhood, child-rearing and rebellion, homesickness, the dream of creating a home, and the desire to escape it, we will musically narrate the most complex, multifaceted, flexible, and thus enduring institution of humanity. Storytelling, Jewish music, and conversations will follow one another, creating an “organic” family of many languages. Featuring Miriam Camerini (vocals), Angelo Baselli (clarinet), and Manuel Buda (guitar).
