Activity description:
The educational laboratory The City That Whispered approaches the recent history of the Jews under the Nazi regime and will make them reflect on the theme of indifference and silence, putting them in the position to consider how individual choices can then influence general historical events.
For this purpose, the children will be offered an animated reading of the illustrated book "The city that whispered" by Jennifer Elvgren and Fabio Santomauro, published by the Giuntina publishing house, which highlights how silence can take on different meanings and outcomes.
Goals:
- Introduce students to the history and events of the years of Nazi-fascist persecution of Jews
- Develop a critical ability in the face of unfolding events
- Understand the value of your choices, especially the daily and apparently insignificant ones
