Activity Description:
The educational workshop "Queen Esther Tells..." will present students with the story of Queen Esther, narrated in the form of a game, which is traditionally read during Purim. They will then learn about the traditions associated with this holiday and be shown the ancient Megillat Esther (scroll of Esther) preserved in the Museum, which is exceptionally illustrated. At the end of the activity, each participant will be invited to draw their own scroll to take home and continue telling the story of Queen Esther.
Goals:
- Understanding the story of Queen Esther and the traditions of the Jewish holiday of Purim
- Understanding the significance of the Megillat Esther in the Museum and why it is considered exceptional
- Creating a personalized story capable of recalling the narrative told
