September 25th, 1942: Cremona Liceo Scientifico (Secondary High School) issues Piera Almansi’s certificate attesting her passing to the 4th year of the “Liceo Scientifico”
After the promulgation of the Racial Laws, all the official documents issued by Italian State Schools to Jewish students reported the wording “of Jewish Race”, often in red.
The declaration given Piera Rachel Almansi on her request, reports this wording and attests she passed from the third to the fourth year of the “Liceo Scientifico”, in Cremona. In other words, the document attests her degree of study. After being expelled from school in 1938, Piera would not continue her studies.
