Spring 1939: The students of the Jewish elementary school of Padua meet for a group photograph
After the Racial Laws became effective in September 1938, all the Jewish students and teachers were expelled from schools. The Jewish Community of Padua, as many others, created a Jewish School to grant children instruction and education.
The nursery and elementary schools of Padua were originally located at 5, via San Martino e Solferino, in the town former ghetto. Later, in a cottage in the area of Pontecorvo, thus joining the middle and secondary schools.
