THURSDAY 26 DECEMBER 4 pm and SUNDAY 29 DECEMBER 11 am, we will offer two rounds of immersive visits in Silent Play mode, to discover together how we celebrate Channukka, also known as the ‘Festival of Lights’.
With headphones to our ears in Silent Play mode, we will listen to traditional tales and music related to this festival and play together with the dreidel, the spinning top: in an immersive visit we will learn about the great miracle of Channukka.
With an expert guide, you will discover the history of Channukka, the Festival of Lights, which is celebrated by lighting a special lamp: the Chanukkyah, a nine-armed candelabrum used to light the lamps, one more each night, during the eight-day festival.
An immersive experience amidst stories, music and games; it will be an opportunity for young and old to learn about the history of the Jewish people and to discover the many meanings and traditions of this anniversary.
The tour will begin at the Museum with SILENT PLAY and will then continue with a visit to the ITALIAN SYNAGOGUE.
We ask the men to wear a hat to cover their heads.
The event lasts about an hour and a half and is suitable for all audiences.
We are waiting for you to experience the miracle of Channukka together!
General or free guided tours of the Museum and the Synagogue during the usual opening hours will still be guaranteed on these days.
Meeting point: MUSEO DELLA PADOVA EBRAICA, Via delle Piazze, 26 – 35122 PADUA.
