Guided tour of the Museum and Stolpersteine
-
opening hours: SUNDAY from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
-
duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes
The stumbling blocks of Padua are part of the project designed by the German artist Gunter Demnig. Since the 1990s, Stolpersteine have begun to spread throughout Europe, installed on public land in front of the last homes of the victims of Nazi-fascism or in front of the places of life that were significant for them.
On request, the Museum of Jewish Padua organizes traveling visits to some of Padua’s stumbling blocks: during the guided tours you will have the opportunity to see them on site and listen to the stories they hold. These will continue inside the Museum and in addition it will be possible to complete the route with the entrance to the Italian Synagogue, the Community’s current place of prayer.
Additional Note: More information about the Stolpersteine placed in Padua can be found and updated on the website http://www.lepietredinciampoapadova.it/.
